Introducing the Robson Acoustics Masterpiece Cable Range
A high-end audio system can only perform at its best when every part of the signal path is given equal consideration. The new Robson Acoustics Masterpiece Cable Range has been created to complement our finest electronics, with conductor quality, shielding, dielectric materials and mechanical control carefully considered throughout.
The range launches with two products: the Masterpiece Interconnect Cable and the Masterpiece Power Cable.
Masterpiece Interconnect Cable
An interconnect carries a low-level audio signal between components, making protection from interference and signal degradation essential.
The Masterpiece Interconnect uses high-purity copper conductors arranged in a multi-layer construction. The individual strands are wound in alternating directions to create a stable conductor geometry, while polypropylene insulation provides a low-loss dielectric around the signal conductors.
A comprehensive shielding system combines copper foil and braided copper layers to protect the signal from radio-frequency and electromagnetic interference. Internal damping and the finished outer braid further reduce the effect of mechanical vibration.
With substantial 15 AWG conductors measuring 1.65 mm², the cable is designed to preserve low-level information, tonal texture and spatial detail without adding an artificial character of its own.
The result is a clean, open presentation with precise imaging, natural tonal balance and excellent resolution.
Masterpiece Power Cable
The power cable is the final connection between an audio component and the mains supply. Its job is to deliver current reliably while limiting the influence of surrounding electrical and mechanical noise.
The Masterpiece Power Cable uses large 11 AWG conductors with a cross-sectional area of 4.02 mm². Its high-purity copper construction provides a low-resistance path capable of supporting the instantaneous current demands of power amplifiers as well as the more delicate requirements of source components and pre-amplifiers.
Audio-grade fluoropolymer insulation surrounds the conductors, while copper foil and braided copper shielding provide extensive protection from electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference. Specially selected damping materials are also incorporated into the cable structure to help control vibration and resonance.
At approximately 17 mm in diameter, this is a substantial cable designed for serious audio systems. Its combination of current capacity, shielding and mechanical stability allows connected equipment to perform with greater composure, particularly during demanding musical passages.
Listeners can expect authoritative bass, improved dynamic freedom and a quieter, more focused presentation.
Designed as Part of the Masterpiece System
These cables were developed to match the same priorities found throughout the Robson Acoustics Masterpiece range: carefully selected materials, uncompromising construction and musical realism.
They are natural partners for our Masterpiece pre-amplifiers, power amplifiers and phono stages, but can equally be used to enhance other high-performance analogue and digital systems.
A Masterpiece Speaker Cable is also in development. Based on the proven design of our Reference Speaker Cable, it will feature an upgraded outer braid and handcrafted ebony detailing to complete the range.
