Using the latest technology UP-OCC individual pure copper multi strand cable for high current use and improved dynamic performance. The screening is catered for by an OFC copper braid and additional PVC covering with a top layer of PVC and cotton sleeving. Argenti Reference Loudspeaker Cable Cables Description Our latest Reference speaker cable uses a 48 wire weave based around ultra pure 24 AWG solid copper wire each with its own foamed / cellular Flouropolymer dielectric surrounding a solid core of unbleached cotton. The weave design is a special helical litz array geometry which has many natural shielding effects without the detrimental effects of metal shielding. With all good quality cables, the dielectric has been found to be just as important as the conductors themselves. With this in mind, virtually all our cables now concentrate on the quality of dielectric and its overall value. Foamed and cellular Flouropolymer has a very low dielectric constent of 1.4 and extremely low dielectric absorption. For comparison, Teflon has a constant of 2.1 and a perfect vacuum is 1.0. The whole cable including banana plugs are then sent off for cryogenic treatment followed by a 4 day cable conditioning on our in house Audiodharma cable cooker. Argenti Reference Interconnect Cable Cables Description Our all new Argenti Reference interconnect cables employ a standard of silver rarely seen anywhere else with a true 5N purity (99.999 purity) silver wire with 4 layers of natural bleached cotton wrapped around a porous Fluoropolymer tube. The extremely high standards around which the pure silver wire is drawn results in lower crystal structure damage and surface marring. As always, the dielectric is extremely important. This cable uses a unique blend of 4 layers of natural unbleached cotton where the surface of the silver wire makes minimal contact with the individual fibres of the cotton resulting in a very low dielectric constant. Cotton also has very good properties in relation to dampening and non resonant behaviour. Both wires are then wrapped around a tube made from porous Fluoropolymer which also has low specific gravity and a very low dielectric constant of less than 1.3. This is much lower than PTFE which is around 2.1 The very best Viborg solid silver RCA or XLR plugs are used in both the unbalanced and balanced cables. After many hours of construction the whole cable is sent off for deep cryogenic treatment followed by cable conditioning on our in house Audiodharma cable cooker. Based around a cabinet of high structural integrity using constrained layer damping philosophies in much of it’s design and using possibly the best bass/midrange and tweeter on the planet with a cross-over that flawlessly integrates both drivers together. As with all new designs we are constantly trying to raise the bar in terms of simple musical enjoyment where you can connect with the music being played. The Burlington Mkll does this in a truly holographic nature! Stereo separation and the natural decay of notes are portrayed in exquisite detail and resolution. High frequencies such as cybils and the natural air and textures around instruments give an astounding realism to recordings especially live venues. Although this design incorporates a single Purifi Audio 6.5″ Ushini driver for bass and mid frequencies, the level and quality of bass produced still amazes everyone. Capable of reproducing the lower octaves of music with extreme speed and authority. Special attention was given to the cross-over design which uses specific components to match the drivers irrespective of cost. No mean feat because the Mk1 is truly a reference loudspeaker in many ways. The Regis Masterpiece was born from the desire to build a cost no object reference stand mount loudspeaker and choosing 2 very high end drive units from well respected manufacturers, namely Morel and Raal. The top of the range Morel copper sleeve bass/mid driver is exceptional in every way and the Raal ribbon tweeter is possibly the best tweeter in existence and also used in the Voltaire lll and new Opus One.
