Burlington

Burlington MK II Speakers Description The new Burlington Mkll has taken many years to develop and a big achievement to supersede an already very popular design. Based around a cabinet of high structural integrity using constrained layer damping philosophies in much of it’s design and using possibly the best bass/midrange and tweeter on the planet with a cross-over that flawlessly integrates both drivers together. As with all new designs we are constantly trying to raise the bar in terms of simple musical enjoyment  where you can connect with the music being played. The Burlington Mkll does this in a truly holographic nature! Stereo separation and the natural decay of notes are portrayed in exquisite detail and resolution. High frequencies such as cybils and the natural air and textures  around instruments give an astounding realism to  recordings especially live venues. Although this design incorporates a single Purifi Audio 6.5″ Ushini driver for bass and mid frequencies, the level and quality of bass produced still amazes everyone. Capable of reproducing the lower octaves of music with extreme speed and authority. Special attention was given to the cross-over design which uses specific components to match the drivers irrespective of cost. Additional damping applied to the cross-over board with point to point wiring, silver solder and internal wiring using 99.999% 5N OCC copper wire with Airlock insulation made from fluoropolymers. Each base is made of 10mm steel with isolation coming from our Panzerholtz and ball bearing feet which has been proven to give a far superior isolation of loudspeaker to floor. It is essential to dampen the vibrations emitted by loudspeakers either through the air or via the ground borne vibrations with both equipment dampening and loudspeaker dampening techniques. Spikes and “soft” isolation feet generally do not work and can introduce various problems when connected to differing floor structures. Both the stand mount version and the floor standing model will redefine the  possibities  from an audiophiles perspective in terms of sound staging, resolution and dynamic contrast. Vanishingly low distortion figures are only 1 of many features these loudspeakers exhibit bringing  the listener closer to the ” in real life” musical experience within your listening space than ever before. Masterpiece Regis

Masterpiece Regis Masterpiece  //  Speakers Description After many years of building the hugely popular and successful Regis Mk1 and knowing that due to the discontinued bass/mid driver, I would have to design a new model and try and succeed in raising the bar in terms of overall sonic qualities. No mean feat because the Mk1 is truly a reference loudspeaker in many ways. The Regis Masterpiece was born from the desire to build a cost no object reference stand mount loudspeaker and choosing 2 very high end drive units from well respected manufacturers, namely Morel and Raal. The top of the range Morel copper sleeve bass/mid driver is exceptional in every way and the Raal ribbon tweeter is possibly the best tweeter in existence and also used in the Voltaire lll and new Opus One. Internal wiring,  cross-over components and Rhodium plated pole connectors are chosen specifically  to match these particular drive units and honed to match this design perfectly. Complimented with Mundorf’s “Angel hair” internal wadding for damping properties which significantly increase the auditory spaciousness of music reproduction. These loudspeakers are capable of the most incredible holographic presentation,  high resolution detail and bass depth defying their size.  These reference monitors will continue to extract more resolution and quality no matter how good the ancillary equipment is in terms of cost or quality.  Price£6000 Enquire About product Gallery Specifications Gallery Specifications Technology Finnish Birch Ply and MDF matrix construction Description 2 way, linear phase, Infinite baffle enclosure Drive Units 1 x Morel 160 mm damped polymer composite cone bass/mid range unit 1 x Raal precision Ribbon Tweeter Frequency Response 40Hz to 40KHz +/- 2dB on axis Impedance 8 ohms nominal, 5 ohms minimum Sensitivity 87dB spl at 1 metre on axis. 2.83V inputt Crossover 2nd order bass roll-off 2nd order tweeter Power Handling 150W peak un-clipped programme Dimensions 380h x 200w x 320d (mm) Weight 9kg Finishes Standard finishes available American Black Walnut and black parchment hide. Arabis

Arabis Speakers Description Arabis is an ultra high end mini monitor based around  Purifi Audio’s ultra low distortion 4″ bass/mid transducer and a Morel dome tweeter. Although these were originally designed for near field monitoring, they are equally at home as full range loudspeakers due to the huge bass capabilities of the Purifi transducers. Incredibly low distortion,  purity of sound and detail resolution are where these monitors excel. Bass response is beyond understanding for such small loudspeakers. Arabis are one of the new designs of high end loudspeaker models from Robson Acoustics  which now incorporate Purifi Audio Ushindi transducers which we believe to be amongst the very best in the world. Combined with a compact Acuflex dome tweeter from Morel to give an amazing soundstage and tonal accuracy. All loudspeakers are handcrafted in solid hardwood which are finished in a hard wax polish.  Cross-over design and internal wiring as always, using very good quality components and mounted on well dampened boards and using Mundorf ” Angel hair” as internal dampening material. This creates a very flat response across the frequency band. Orders now being taken with a choice of hardwoods. The current model shown is in spalted copper beech. Masterpiece Opus One

Masterpiece Opus One Masterpiece  //  Speakers Description With Opus One, we are proud to share our newly designed flagship loudspeaker. Many years of collaboration with Purifi Audio’s legendary drive units coupled with a Real precision ribbon tweeter has enabled a significant quantum step up from everything we have built before. Opus One establishes new benchmarks in musicality, transparency, and fidelity along with testing our limits of dynamic speaker design with a constellation of exotic technologies, techniques and materials. Expressed in immaculate execution in every little detail from distressed hides and exotic hardwoods to engraved panels and de-coupled to the rest of the world via an isolation platform. A timeless piece of art in your living environment ready to engage the soul with a beautiful portrayal of musical expression and to create something unique in balance between art, craftsmanship, technology and performance.  The combination of Purifi Audio Ushindi technology  bass/mid motors and the Raal ribbon tweeter are able to employ lightning-fast precision and  deliver exquisite whisper-quiet musical passages or thunderous bass  completely free of distorting cabinet resonances. Dual 8″ passive radiators tuned to the cabinet volume offer the perfect way of enhancing bass energy without the inherent problems with ports or transmission lines. Cabinet construction begins with an inert baffle of 50mm thickness and employing a fully braced design througout. Often the biggest problem with loudspeaker design is its inability to decouple itself from the floor and also other extraneous airborne vibrations. The perfect solution was an existing design which has already  won many awards in its own right and able to completely remove the passage of deleterious vibrations both to and from the speaker cabinets. This impart a serious improvement in soundstage and bass precision. For those wishing to experience the visceral thrill and lyricism of the best loudspeakers in the world should audition Opus One. Record Weight

Record Weight Accessories  //  Turntable Description The record weight is another one of those Hifi products we wonder if they make a difference or improvement. After many months of testing and research, I can categorically say they do! The solid tone wood Puk’s such as African Blackwood, Lignum Vitae and various Burr woods are chosen for their natural ability to dampen micro vibrations inherent within a turntable and the record surface.  Subtle but noticeable differences can be heard in a clearer resolution and reduced background noise. Piano notes become cleaner and more distinct with additional air around vocals and instruments.  The latest generation of record weights now include a combination of African Blackwood and Panzerholtz with high grade Chromium ball bearings to give additional improvements over the standard hardwood Puk’s. Every record weight is hand made and polished with hard wax. Price £300Standard Record Weight £560 Ref Record weight Enquire About product Gallery Gallery
